The thumbprints that Pittsburghers have come to know and love originated in 1980, which was ten years after the Kaufmann’s Arcade Bakery opened its doors.
The Arcade Bakery closed several years ago, but we are continuing the traditional cookie. Today, our thumbprints are made from scratch and are available everyday at all of our locations.
